World Medical Association Council Meeting

The WMA will hold a Council meeting at the Hotel Santiago from April 25-27, when physician leaders from national medical associations around the world will debate a number of key issues.

Policy items on the agenda include the threat from antimicrobial resistance, the development of artificial/augmented intelligence, genetic testing and the negative effects of defensive medicine. The meeting will also continue debating WMA policy on euthanasia and physician assisted suicide.
