Madrid; a long-term internship at the Pediatric Nephrology Service at the Neckar – Enfants
Malades Hospital in Paris.
Obtained the degrees of Professor of Pediatrics and Doctorate from the Faculty of Medicine of
Porto (1994).

Involved in numerous clinical studies and published more than 200 ar cles in reputable
interna onal journals, including the New England Journal Medicine, on a wide variety of topics
related to pediatric nephrology.
