DATES AND VENUE

REGISTRATION

The Assembly is open to all constituent members of the World Medical Association, to associate members, to observers and to other individuals by special invitation. Full registration is necessary to participate in all Assembly events including the social programme, and is only considered upon receipt of the corresponding form and fee.

The registration fee is 400 Euros for participants and 200 Euros for accompanying persons. The fee includes documentation and all events in the official social programme. For those who wish to attend the Scientific Session, we offer 200 Euros for the registration, which doesn't cover the official social programme and meeting documentation.

Following to the Council decision in April, the Secretariat will not provide hard copies and folders of documents that are available at the WMA internal website before this meeting. If you require hard copies please bring your own prints and note that only new documents which have not been available at the WMA website until the meeting will be distributed in Bangkok. WiFi will be available in the meeting room.

The online registration is available in May 2012 through the WMA website.

PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE

  • The pre-meetings of Executive Committee and workgroups will be held on Tuesday, one day prior to the meeting.
  • The three Standing Committees and the Credentials Committee will meet on Wednesday.
  • The Scientific Session will take place on Thursday. The theme is "Megacity - Megahealth?".
  • There will be a half-day Tour for all participants.
  • The main meeting of the Council will take place on Friday.
  • The Assembly Ceremonial Session will take place after the Council Session on Friday.
  • The Assembly Plenary Session will be held on Saturday, the 13th.

LANGUAGES

There will be simultaneous interpretation in English, French, Spanish and Japanese at all the sessions.  Meeting documentation is available in English, French and Spanish.
