THE WORLD MEDICAL ASSOCIATION

recognizes that tobacco products are hazardous
to human health (See WMA Statement on Health Hazards of
Tobacco Products, adopted September, 1988).

therefore urges all nations to protect
the public health by adopting prohibitions or restrictions
on the manufacture, import, export, sale or advertisement
of tobacco products |
| THE WORLD MEDICAL ASSOCIATION |
further urges all national medical
associations to take such actions as may be appropriate to
advocate the adoption of prohibitions or restrictions on the
manufacture, import, export, sale or advertisement of tobacco
products by the governments of their respective nations. |
