1. Objectives

  • To resolve medical issues, to present counterproposals actively and to develop policies productively under current circumstances on healthcare policy led by the Government.
  • To position the KMA as a non-governmental leading body of healthcare policy by developing and presenting practical counterproposals based on a theoretical study and analysis, and a result of field research.
  • To contribute to the enhancement of national health ultimately as well as to the development of the medical field by studying the issues in short- and long-term synthesis.

  • Short- and long-term research regarding health insurance, consultation fees, and fund supply, etc.
  • Short- and long-term research regarding healthcare system, laws related to healthcare, etc.
  • Various guidelines for enhancing the quality of healthcare and balanced development of medical institutions
  • Countermeasures according to the changes of medical environment

2) Healthcare Policy Forum

  • Theme with the main healthcare issues
  • Every two months

3) Colleting Data and Analysis

  • Fact-finding survey on medical institutions
  • Public-opinion census on healthcare policy and heath insurance
  • Evaluation of healthcare level
  • Evaluation and monitoring of broadcasts and news reports
  • Analysis and review of health related judicial decisions
  • Collecting data and analysis of health related information

4) Providing Basic Data

  • Maintaining and providing basic data on current healthcare issues

5) Publications

  • Healthcare Policy Forum quarterly
  • Research reports
  • Books related to the healthcare system, management of medical institutions, health insurance
  • Academic journals yearly
  • Translations of foreign health related books
