Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Association of Hungarian Medical Societies (MOTESZ)
we have the honour to greeting you, the WMA members and to give
you some information about our Association and also about Hungary.
The MOTESZ has been actively participating in the World Medical
Association work since 1988 as a full member. Accessing the WMA
there has been an opportunity to make important and topical questions
in the medical international area to become known in Hungary and
also to exchange views of the isues relating health care, problems
arisen in different WMA member countries and their settlements.
The Association of Hungarian Medical Societies was honoured to
have a possibility to organise the 45th WMA General Assembly in
Hungary in 1993. 160 representatives from 56 countries were having
successful discussions. Since then the membership has been counted
up to more than 70 Medical Associations.
It is a honour that our delegate became Official Advisor of the
Medical Ethics Committee and with this the dialogue between our
organizations becoming more active and profound.
We can assure you in our commitments to the mission of the World
Medical Association, doing and will be doing our best to strengthen
the voice of the Organisation in representing the common interests
of profession.
We are proud of being a member of the large WMA family and to
participate in its activities.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. Béla Szalma
