Colleagues,
It is my great honor and pleasure to have an opportunity to write
a few words in the WMA Newsletter. When we were suggested by WMA
staff to be the country of the month and to start the WMA Newsletter
with Azerbaijan, I felt it an honor to be given this chance.
The year 2002 remained with memorable and historical events for
Azerbaijan Medical Association such as membership of the WMA.
Today, we are extremely pleased to represent our Association and
to be a part of the WMA family.
I am sure that having become a member of the WMA, AzMA will have
a chance to develop its relations with other member NMAs and also
gain new experience in different fields within the WMA family.
Once again I would like to express my deep satisfaction and sincere
gratitude on behalf of every member of AzMA to the WMA staff for
their confidence and for this opportunity to be a part of the
Newsletter. I am sure this regularly published newsletter will
serve as a significant contribution towards the overall improvement
of the healthcare situation in the member countries.
Lastly, I would request all my colleagues to work together to
help make our WMA family grow into a bigger, better and stronger
entity. We must all understand that "Communication and
Unity is the key to progress and prosperity".
