Scientific Projects
ArMA has a competent research team who has successfully completed
the following surveys: Arterial Hypertension Knowledge Survey
among Physicians in Yerevan; Blood Pressure Screening and Survey
in Yerevan Adult Population; and Medical Care Quality Evaluation
at Arterial Hypertension in Health Care Institutions of Yerevan.
The survey results will be generalized during the seminar organized
through 29-30th April, 2005.
"Principles of Biostatistics" training course and "Evidence
Based Medicine" seminar were organized in the countryside,
August 2004 and February 2005. The programs will be ongoing.
Among the realized projects are regular clinical fairs of medical
teams to the far-away regions of Armenia.
The future projects are:
- OSAS prevalence evaluation in Armenian population,
- Blood Pressure Screening and Survey in Armenian Adult Population,
- Pilot Project on the Creation of Anti-Tobacco Network of Armenian
Physicians,
- Infertility prevalence estimation and Men sexual health assessment,
- Publication of Armenian Evidence Based Medicine literature
and Patients' Education
materials supported by Aid Armenia.
Besides, the ArMA medical library is often updated with exclusive
high-yield and evidence based medical literature. British Medical
Journal has provided the ArMA library with evidence-based medicine
literature. All preparatory activities are coming to end for release
the Armenian Medical Journal-the first peer-reviewed medical journal
in Armenia.
We are open in any kind of cooperation within the framework of
implementation of these scientific projects.
